The 5th instalment of the The Good Soldier Schweik shows how Schweik continues his trip to Ceske Budejovice. He has gone astray and is grilled by gendarmerie sergeant Flanderka. After further annoyances, he reaches Ceske Budejovice nevertheless, meeting lieutenant Lukas there, who was just beginning to be delighted at having lost sight of Schweik for good.
