The introduction to the "Garden" series based on the book of the the same title by Jiri Trnka. It is a story about an old and lonely man who, in order to cheer himself, buys a few small animals. However, the animals grow up to be a whale and two elephants. The kitten changes into a full-grown tomcat. The old man, however, does not live to see that. He dies and the garden he bought for the animals wastes away and, though there grows up a town around it, nobody knows that there is a garden there.
