One of the pictures based on the old Prague legends. The legend of the Jerusalem street goes back to the reign of Vaclav IV, the king who, accompanied by his jester Zito, often walked through the streets of Prague and punished the bad deeds of the merchants and citizens right at the spot. In this story there is a competition between Zito and some Bavarian jesters that Zito is able to defeat only for the price of selling his soul to the Devil.
