| The third episode of Trnka's film based on a novel by Jaroslav Hasek. In this story Svejk is told to get off a train, decides to find his battalion by walking and loses his way. At a police station he is interrogated as a Russian spy and escorted by a policeman to the district town. However, it is Svejk who accompanies his dead-drunk guard to the district police station and so proves again that the fall of the Habsburg monarchy is irreversible.
