| William Saroyan's short story „The Young Man and the Mouse“ inspired this puppet film. The young man starts off as a nice enough chap, although rather fond of the bottle. He turns into a unimaginative, mean, callous individual. He acquires a lot of money too easily. The moral is clear, whether we consider it from the wider social angle or from the human point of view.
