A joyful puppet film based on a story from Boccaccio's Decameron. It is a story of a philandering monk and a beautiful but dull lady who surrenders only to archangel Gabriel. A story full of medieval humour which takes place in a bizarre atmosphere of medieval Venice. The puppets used in the picture are some of the most beautiful by Jiri Trnka.
